We often spend money on the items or products, according to our needs.
Also, everybody has their own budget of spending on an item. However, sometimes you find an item very attractive and cannot stop yourself from buying it even if the price is more than expected.
Today, I would like to describe an item on which I spent more than expected.
- What it is? (The item on which you spent more than expected.)
I wanted to purchase an outfit for my elder sister’s wedding. I was searching for an outfit according to my overall budget. Also, I had a thought that I will take a very simple outfit. Then, pair it with a heavy jewellery. This was my exact plan.
However, things don’t go according to the plans. Surprisingly, I purchased an outfit on which I spent more than expected. Honestly, I loved the attire that I purchased later on.
- How much did you spend on it?
Actually, my budget was to spend around 7,000 INR on the outfit but I spent around 10,000 INR.
Let me tell you what exactly happened, I visited to a traditional clothing store with one of my friends. I told her about my plan of attending the wedding next month. Moreover, I asked her to help me in my shopping. On Sunday, she took me to the clothing store.
There, I seen collection of different outfits. I see a beautiful lehenga of mint green colour and I could not take my eyes off it. I found it very pretty. Furthermore, I asked the price rate of the lehenga. It was around 10,000 INR.
I tried the lehenga to check whether it suits me or not. Additionally, it was bit difficult for me to decide when I was thinking about my budget. Finally, I made my mind and decided to buy the lehenga. Then, I gave it for fitting according to my measurements.
Moreover, it was an embroider lehenga and the green colour was trending those days. I was not able to say no to that outfit. I felt that it was made for me. Also, I thought that I will adjust my budget by spending less on other items.
- Why you bought it?
I bought an item on which I spent more than expected. As it was first wedding function in my family. Also, I never attended much functions due to my studies.
I wanted to wear an outfit which I never tried before. Lehenga was the outfit which I was going to try for the very first time. Moreover, I wanted to look great on the wedding day as it was a family function.
Apart from this, the lehenga I chose was having Lucknowi embroidery which is very famous. I wanted to buy an outfit having Lucknowi embroidery on it. Also, lehenga was fully embroiled with white and golden threads.
Thus, these reasons pushed me to purchase an item on which I spent more than expected.

I think I spent more than expected because I had already decided to buy that outfit in a limited budget. Contrast, I got a great outfit and I spent more on it.
Whether I spent more than expected on the outfit but I am not upset about it. As I was satisfied with my purchase and when I wore that outfit on wedding. I got many compliments from my family members as well as friends. My mom loved my outfit and told that I had chosen the right outfit.

Everybody has their own preference, when it comes to, spend on the products. Some may like to spend more and others less. However, it happens several times when we spend on an item more than expected.
Now, I would describe an item on which I spent more than expected.

An item on which I spent more than expected, was a smart watch. As I am fitness freak so I wanted to purchase a gadget that to monitor my physical fitness. Moreover, I found smart watch as a best option.
- How much did you spend on it?
Before purchasing the smart watch, I checked the smart watches of different brands online. Additionally, I seen several of them with the specifications.
I was impressed by the specifications of the smart watch – Apple Unisex Black Series 3 GPS, Smart Watch. Though the watch was heavy on my pocket but I loved the exciting features of the watch.
After thinking for a while, I decided to buy this watch from nearby apple store and it costed me 16,900 INR.
- Why you bought it?
I went through all the details about the smart watch and compared it with other models. Also, it matched all my requirements. This smart watch is waterproof.
Also, it detects the heart rate and track the daily basis physical activity such as exercise and distance covered by walking. It counts all the steps taken in an entire day.
Furthermore, I wanted to monitor about my workout routine. This model of apple smart watch also notifies you regarding the workout timings and schedule of the whole day. It makes work easier as do not let you forget any task.
Moreover, I love to listen songs while exercising. You can play songs on this watch and enjoy the entire workout.
Apart from this, the best thing is it makes life comfortable by notifying about the phone calls or any recent messages. You can answer a phone call through the watch. I liked all the features of this smart watch.
In addition, I took advice from my brother regarding the smart watch as he has used it. I got a positive review from his side.
Finally, after going through all the details. I made my mind clear to spend on the smart watch. Thus, this was an item on which I spent more than expected.
- Explain why you think you spent more than expected?
As I had already purchased a new laptop two months ago. According to the previous purchase, I had decided not to purchase any expensive item for upcoming six months.
However, when I came to know about benefits of the smart watch. I was not able to wait for such a long time. Therefore, this is why I think that I spent more than expected.
Hence, this was about an item on which I spent more than expected.

No, I usually do not spend more than expected. This happens, only when an item is necessary for me. Also, when I get attracted towards an item specially clothing and footwear. At that time, I cannot hold myself to spend on that particular thing. Then, I spend more than expected.
- What do you think young people spend most of their money on?
According to my view, youngsters spend maximum money on gadgets, clothes, footwear and accessories. Also, they spend most on the junk food such as pizza and burger.
Young people follow latest trends and spend on clothes and other items according to them. They love to follow the trending things. Thus, they spend most of their money on these items.
- Do you think it is important to save money? Why?
Yes, of course, It is essential to save money. As you never know, when a person can face any emergency. To tackle such situation, one should always have some savings that can be used at that time.
Saving money is a good thing as it will be beneficial for future. when a person has some savings, it also gives the feeling of future security.
Consequently, it is important to save money.
- Do people buy things that they don’t need?
I think people buy things according to their needs. If they find it necessary to buy an item, they will go for it.
In contrast, people buy clothes and accessories even if they don’t need them. This is because if they like any outfit, it is difficult to leave a clothing outfit. In terms of clothes, people spend on them without thinking about the need.
