Now a days online shopping has become more popular than in-store shopping. Is it a positive or negative development?
In recent times, people seek comfort even in their shopping for which they are shifting towards electronic shopping. Online stores are attracting more and more individuals as compared to shopping outlets. This essay will elaborate positive as well as negative aspects.
Internet shopping has several benefits. The foremost benefit is, consumers get freedom to choose products from large amount of variety. People do not get restricted to a certain limit. There are many categories available at shopping websites. Interestingly, the best part is the option to wish list the favourites. Consequently, a person can shop online freely, without any pressure and restriction. Additionally, online stores provide the complete details about the available items. People get to read the reviews and it act as a great help in their shopping. For instance, whenever I am unsure about placing my order. At that time, reviews help me to decide the product.
However, there are various drawbacks of online shopping. The main issue in purchasing over the internet is receiving an unexpected item. In online purchase, sometimes the received product is totally different from the customer’s imagination. For example, my cousin ordered an outfit from an online site, which was displayed in red colour. Unfortunately, the colour of an outfit received was quite dull. Another issue in virtual shopping, is the delivery restrictions. There are times, when people require the goods according to the mentioned delivery time. However, the delay in the order results in a problem. In this situation, people have to change their plans.
To conclude, online shopping offers exciting benefits to the customers. However, the demerits of electronic shopping should not be ignored. People should shop online carefully.
