Research shows that business meeting, discussion and training are happening online nowadays. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
We live in the age when many of us are depend on online research as it is very beneficial for everyone to communicate with others. A survey illustrates, currently, organization conferences are occurring by online platforms. This essay will discuss both the aspects before demonstrating that online conferencing has more pro than cons.
To start with, using computer network to hold an online meeting offers a variety of advantages. Firstly, because of online platforms and Internet, it is very easy for the staff members to access to the internet and attend the conference from anywhere. Infact, due to this exercise, international companies can do their staff discussion session by ignoring the geographical distance and this will also help them to control their traveling budget. Moreover, it can also reduce the usages of vehicles, as all the employees will attend their workshops from their locations or home, whereas the level of pollution will go down and it is good step to solve the environmental issues.
On the other hand, although the online conferencing can be useful but it has some drawbacks. Spending long time-period on electronic devices can cause some serious health issues. Such as, eyes problems, obesity and depression. Furthermore, online meetings can be hacked as it is very easy for the hackers and they can also leak their confidential data and share with their competitors. As a result, an organisation can face a big loss and lose their image in the market.
In conclusion, online communication provides a convenient way to communicate as well as improve the environment. Therefore, the benefits are overpowering the drawbacks of itself. In future, it will be improved and give more benefits to individuals.
